VR24 - Vehicle Inspections

Description

VR24 is about learning the skills required to thoroughly inspect a recovery vehicle and its associated equipment in order to ensure it is compliant with current legislation and contractual requirements.
Learning Outcomes
• Health and safety legislation and requirements relating to vehicle inspections
• Documentation required for the identity of recovery vehicles, inspections, testing and capacities
• Recovery vehicle dimensions and weights, that directly affect their performance and capacity
• Correct procedures when carrying out an inspection
• Inspection requirements for vehicle winches and winch ropes
• Inspection requirements for underlift recovery units and transporter recovery units (light and heavy recovery), lorry loaders, damage free frames and twin boom recovery units
• Inspection requirements for rotating recovery appliances, top boom recovery equipment and ancillary recovery equipment
• Completing the relevant documentation
