VR26 - Emergency First Aid at Work
Description | VR26 provides roadside/recovery technicians with a basic understanding of First Aid in the workplace and being able to deal with situations where someone has been injured and requires emergency first aid assistance, until the emergency services arrive. Learning Outcomes • The role of the first aider • Preventing cross infection • Need for recording incidents and actions • Use of available equipment • Potential first aid issues at a road traffic collision Practical Outcomes • The primary survey and the secondary survey • Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) • The recovery position • Administer first aid to someone who is choking, wounded and bleeding or suffering from shock |
